Hi and welcome to The Homeschool Group - a group of around 80 families who homeschool.  We meet on Thursdays during term time for classes and catch ups in Auckland.  And it's not just Auckland - we have families joining us from near & far (North Shore, Warkworth, Thames, South Auckland & Waiheke Island). For total flexibility with homeschool class options, simply book and pay on a per term basis.  Choose from one class to multiple classes, to suit the needs of your children.

VISITORS AND NEW FAMILIES WELCOME! Come along and see us - even if you're not homeschooling and wondering how/if to homeschool. Contact us to arrange a time, find us at Massey Leisure Centre, Westgate, Auckland, and we will meet you there and show you around.  Term 1, 2019 starts Thursday 14.2.19 to 11.4.19.  

Around 80 families who homeschool meet together at our Auckland location for a variety of classes to suit all ages.  It's a great way to get some quality learning, meet new people and make some new friends! We meet in West Auckland, with homeschooling families that come from all around the Auckland area, and far beyond. Please come and visit if you are interested in joining, or even if you’re still trying to make the decision about whether to homeschool - we're a friendly, inclusive group and happy to help!

The group also offers support for homeschooling parents too - you can talk to us about exemptions, curriculums, groups to join.  We have regular parent teaching workshops which are open to all families for positive teaching homeschool support.  The teaching support workshops can be found here. 

We're at Massey Leisure Centre, Cnr Westgate Dr & Don Buck Road, AUCKLAND

Our teaching workshops are during class time, one hour long, and can include:

"Making It Happen - Getting Started", "Teaching Reading", "Teaching Maths", "Teaching Geography", "Teaching Science", "Volcanoes - A Unit Study", and many more.

These short seminars are designed to make your homeschool educator role easier and better, and some are just for fun.  All parents welcome, whether enrolled with the group or not.   Dates, details and bookings are here.

We have a free (parent supervised) playgroup on site, specifically for -6 years. This provides a space for parents and little ones to relax, play and socialise.  We also have access to the on site library, coffee shop and gym.  More details here.
