What is a Teaching Seminar?

It's a one hour group workshop with Dorinda Duthie (former teacher and homeschooler).  In term 3, 2019, we are setting a room aside (the Library Room) at 11:00am to provide a quiet space specifically for these seminars.

The seminars are designed to be empowering, and will provide clarity around getting started, teaching the basics, and interesting unit studies.

Massey Leisure Centre, 545 Don Buck Road, Cnr Westgate Drive & Don Buck Road.  Access is off Westgate Drive. Parking available on site.  Drive in, park and walk on up to the main entrance.

At the main entrance, turn right toward the old library entrance.  Head left down a hallway towards the blue doors on the right.  Call Rae on 0272209949 if you get lost!

Seminar times are always 11:00am to 12:00pm. Dorinda is available afterwards to answer your questions.  Check our page here for workshop dates, details and bookings.

What do people say about the workshops?

"I always feel so inspired & empowered by Dorinda.  It doesn't matter how many of her talks I go to, I always learn something new."

"Dorinda's talk was amazing.  I was beginning to feel at a loss with what to do with my daughter's reading & I was considering buying an expensive computer program, but Dorinda helped me to see where we were floundering.  I now feel I am back on track & not fumbling in the dark.  So happy."

"These 1 hour seminars have huge value for homeschooling parents.  They provide simple, highly effective teaching methods.  Dorinda's advice has been a game changer for me. It's given me a whole lot of confidence to teach my children well."
